The Commission feels that the present curriculum is narrowly conceived, mainly in terms of the admission requirements of the college. Students are prepared only to qualify themselves in the matriculation examination for the purpose of entrance to the University.

The demands of collegiate education still hold away over the entire field of school education in India. Certain High School courses are unpopular because there is no provision for pursuing them at college.

This has tended to bring the High School course not closer conformity with the pattern of University courses. Thus irrespective of their connection with the actual life of the pupils school curriculum is prepared by us.
