National policy on education asserted that de-linking degrees from jobs in selected areas this proposal in not applicable to certain specific areas like Engineering, Medicine, Teaching, Law etc. Similarly the services of specialists with academic qualification in the humanities, social sciences, sciences, etc. will continue to be required in various job positions.
De-linking will be applied in services for which a university degree need not be a necessary qualification. It implementation will lead to re-fashioning of job-specific courses and afford greater justice to those candidates who, despite being equipped for a given job, are unable to get it because of an unnecessary preference for graduate candidates.
