On the social front, social injustice is still rampant among the illiterate masses. Popular superstitions, beliefs and unfounded faiths are hovering over the heads of the many illiterate and ignorant people. Such people have no faith in scientific innovations and scientific values. As often happens in history, religion stagnates as rituals.

The village Purohit and Mahants have kept the people in the darkness and hypnotized them with their old style of verbal sermons to the extent that they are not all prepared to change their attitude of life.
