South Asian preferential Agreements (SAPTA) was constituted for economic and trade cooperation among members states.

But it has not achieved the desired results due to various political, economical, geographical and strategic reasons.

Two main members of the SAPTA, India and Pakistan have bitter relations and its impact hurdles trade and commerce in SAPTA.

All countries produce almost same type of products to export and therefore less scope for trade increase exist.


Number of products for performance is also not more to boost the trade.
