The main characteristics of problems are as given below:

(i) To help pupils in learning methods that yield satisfying solutions, the teacher must relate to the problem to the pupil’s need.

(ii) The administrators and supervisors may select some problems that will need a careful study for the improvement of education inside the state of the country.

(iii) By studying different types of current magazines many a problems can be identified. In some magazines there are descriptions about the lower standard of educational system existing in the state.

(iv) These days our society is heading towards modernisation, industrialisation and westernisation. But due to some educational problems our people are not able to adjust themselves with the progressive society. Hence careful attention should be taken to study all these problems.

(v) A researcher takes a problem for his thesis purpose. He must select his guide who has much knowledge and experience in that area otherwise it will create problem after starting the work.

(vi) More problems can be pointed out if much interest will be taken for reading and listening the assignments critically.
