India experienced great population explosion between 1960 to 1990 this was more special in 1980’s when the population growth was more rapid.
But this rapid population growth showed the sign of all out at the closure of 20th century. This can be attributed to the government’s Plan to Check the Population at national and local level. This also reflects the growing awareness among the masses regarding family Planning.
Development Process cannot be taken to long way if population more than the carrying capacity of the nations capability.
Population explosion breeds poverty, unemployment, crime, slum, squalor etc. are the consequences of it, which India faces.
