Children love play more than any thing else in the world. The friend giving companies to them in their plays are very close and intimate. These friends are children from different families. They share common experiences of happiness and sorrows, adventure and exploration. Leadership qualities are developed better in the play-group than in other agencies. Socialization also effectively takes place through play-groups.

Play-groups are immensely educative. The child learns cooperation, team spirit, mutual sharing and fellow-feeling through different plays and activities with his friends. Education according to the nature of community:

Community provides education to its people on the basis of its nature. The nature of community varies from one to another. Its political, economic and social nature is reflected in education. Knowledge about the profession of people, I availability of resources and information regarding demand and supply develops an outlook of people on production and consumption. A community of democratic nature provides stimulation for the development of love, of sympathy and sincerity.


Influence of Leaders:

Leaders give guidance to the public and present people’s I demands at various levels. They ventilate the public I grievance to the authority or concerned officers. Leaders influence their followers and guide them purposefully.

School is controlled by community:

The school is a miniature society established with the purpose to impart training and education to the children in community. School is built, financed and also manned by I the community. In other hand school interacts with the community by observing NSS & NCC camps, meetings with parents and closing school for celebration of festivals and cultural functions of community.


Social Change:

There are numerous factors of social change which found its origin in the community. Society changes due to the changed mentality of people; this can be done through education of people. People change the behaviours hobbies and habits owing to the social need. Individual learns manly things spontaneously through social interaction and exchange of I views with the people in community.

Vocational Training:

The most important aspects of education provided by the community are vocational training. It offers age old traditional professions transmitted from generation to generation, community has its own way of division of labour on the basis of castes. This hereditary profession is learnt by the child from his seniors or parents.


Community is a social group represented by various professionals holding common way of living. Apart from its role to establish educational institution for its children it provides education for practical living by informal ways. The role of community in shaping then personality of the child by training of self-reliance, co­operative livings are noteworthy.
