All general education at the primary, secondary and higher secondary level should necessarily have a strong component of environmental matters.
Such a courses will provide awareness and sensitivity of the environmental problems. This will provide a basic understanding of the environment and associated problems which will help social groups and individuals to in meeting out the challenges of environmental problems. Such an educations will also provide skills for identifying and solving environmental problems.
Environmental education has its own importance in view of the present state of affairs where human population is facing a great threat of environmental pollution which has put a question mark of their survival.
Need of the hour is that the students should be made to realize the enormity of various environmental problems with minimum technicalities which enhancing environmental quality is of great importance for our happiness and survival.
