The difference between Spongy Bone and Compact Bone are given below:

Spongy Bone:

1. The apatites are arranged as bars or plates called tubeercule due to which bone become spongy.

2. The spongy bone marrow filled up with red bone marrow.

3. Extremites of limb bones tips of flat ribs etc.

Compact Bone:

1. Such arrangement of apatite spicules in to trabeculae is absent. Hence the bone becomes compact or solid.
