1) Sociology deals with practical and present social situations. Anthropology deals with “pure” and “past”.

2) Sociology deals with modern industrial literate people and societies. Anthropology deals with primitive, pre-industrial pre-literate societies.

3) Sociology studies a particular aspect of society. While Anthropology studies the whole society. Sociology studies parts of a society such as family, marriage, social cha and social mobility. Anthropology studies societies in entirely i.e. all aspects as whole.

4) Sociologists study, “small” as well as vast societies. It studies dynamic aspects society and processes. Anthropology, on the other hand, studies small society culture, which are relatively static in nature. They study tribal communities like Na Gonads and Bhils etc. which are small self-contained groups of communities.
