What are the main differences between History and Sociology?

Differences:

1) History and sociology are two different branches of knowledge having our subject matter.

2) Sociology deals with present social phenomenon whereas history deals with past events and incidents.

3) Sociology is an abstract science whereas history is a concrete social science.

4) History is an individualising science, whereas sociology is a generalising science.

5) History is older than sociology. It is very ancient whereas sociology emerged as a social science in the 19th century.
