Difference between defecto and de-jure recognition can be summarised thus:
(a) De-facto recognition is provisional while de-jure recognition is final,
(b) De-facto recognition may be made dependent on conditions with which new states have to comply; de jure recognition does not leave scope for further conditions being final and conclusive in itself.
(c) Diplomatic exercise and representations are usually not accorded to de-facto governments. Dejure recognition implies full and normal diplomatic relations.
