Difference between Thermal Power and Hydroelectric Power are:

Thermal Power

(i) It is generated from petroleum (oil) or coal.

(ii) Its sources (coal and oil) are exhaustible.

(iv) It is expensive in the long run.

Hydroelectric Power

(i) It generated from water falling on turbines.

(ii) Its source is perennial, i.e., in­exhaustible.

(iii) It causes no pollution.

(iv) It is cheaper in the long run.
