Delegation can be effective if the barriers like lack of proper communication, lack of proper planning, ambiguous duties, tack of training and lack of knowledge about the goal of the enterprise are removed. Delegation is described as an art and it can be made effective if the following essentials are attained:

(a) Every person in the organisation must know clearly the objective of the enterprise because all the efforts are directed for the attainment of the single and unified objective.

(b) The duties and the extent of authority must be clearly known to all the employees in organization.

(c) The manager must establish a sound control system to check the performance of his subordinates.

(d) The employees should be properly motivated to work.

(e) There should be proper and effective flow of information. This necessitates the emergence of two-way communication system.
