Brief Note on the Floral characters of Umbellifeerae. This family belongs to order Umbellales of polypetalae in Dicotyledons. There are 200 general and 2900 species.

Inflorescence is usually umbel simple or compound surrounded by thin bract, the involucres.

Small bisexual polygamous actinomorphic epigymous with a disc Pentamerous irregular sometimes with a disc, Pentamerous irregular sometimes zygomorphic, ligulae often showy white or yellow or rarely blue.

iii. Calyx :

Sepals five free often bifid rips inflexed valuate or imbricate adnate.

Stamens five free, inflexed in bud alternating with the petals, anthers versatile superior.
