DNA:

1. It is double helical structure.

2. The sugar is deoxyribose.

3. It contains bases like adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine. Uracil is absent.

4. It is the genetic material of all organisms except certain viruses.

5. It is having self-replicating capacity.

RNA:

1. It is a single strand structure.

2. The sugar is ribose.

3. Here all bases present except thymine, which is replaced by uracil.

4. It performs other vital fu8nctions but in certain viruses, it acts as a genetic material.

5. It is synthesized on DNA template.
