Mario Gomez Garcia was born in Riedlingen on July 10th, 1985. He plays in the striking position in the German league (Bundesliga) for the Bayern Munich FC. Before joining Bayern Munich he had play for Stuttgart for six years. His transfer fee from Stuttgart to Bayern Munich was a record fee of about 30 – 35 million Euros. Gomez scored 14 goals for his former club Stuttgart when they became the German champions in the 2006-2007 seasons and nominated as the best German Footballer for that season.

He began training in the youth academy in Stuttgart in 2001 and it didn’t take a long time he entered the first team. At the age of 19 Gomez made his first appearance for Stuttgart in a match against Chelsea, the Premier League side. Few weeks later he made his Bundesliga appearance. That was his only appearance for his club during the 2003 and 2004 season. Nevertheless, it didn’t take a long time Mario Gomez became an established player at Stuttgart.

Mario Gomez became a regular player for his club during the pre-season of 2004-05. He was able to cross the 20 appearance in this season, making a total of 24 appearances at the conclusion of the season of 2004-05 for second division of Stuttgart in all the competitions. He scored an amazing 16 goals. During the window transfer, he was linked to make top clubs in Europe since his talent was very evident.

During the 2005-06 season, he was elevated to the first team in other words making a total appearance of 38. Although he was able to score just eight goals in all the competition, he assisted greatly to his team. From there, he became a frequent player for the club, making more than 30 appearances the next seasons. One defining quality of Gomez is his ability to score wonderful goals, which he showed in his final season at his club.

The 2008-09 season was a wonderful one for Gomez as he bagged in 33 goals in 44 matches. As a result of his top quality he became subject of transfer rumors in Europe as many top clubs was linked to him including German giant Bayern Munich.
