50 gms Coriander seeds

2 Nos Red Chilli

1 tsp Turmeric powder

1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

1 tsp Black pepper

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED WHILE PREPARING THE DRINK

2 tbsp Arhar Dal

1 tbsp Ghee

3 cups water

20 gms Tamarind

Salt to taste

A few coriander leaves

METHOD FOR PREPARING POWDER

1. Roast coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies, black pepper, and cumin seeds. Make a fine powder of all these ingredients in a mixer.

PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING THE DRINK

2. Cook arhar dal in pressure cooker. Grind it into a paste in the mixer.

3. Soak tamarind and extract its pulp.

4. Mix the dal paste and tamarind pulp then add three cups of water and salt and bring it to a boil.

5. Add two tbsp of rasam powder. Let it boil well.

6. Switch off the gas and add ghee and fresh coriander leaves to it.
