Notes on Drunkenness as a general exception

Drunkenness is covered under General Exception and is available as a valid defence if the thing which intoxicated him:

(a) Was administered to him without his knowledge,

(b) Or against his will.

And the person by reason of such intoxication is

(a) Incapable of knowing the nature of the act,

(b) or that he is doing what is either wrong or contrary to law.
