Cell phones have become an important part of our daily life. Back in 1980, the number of cell phones in the world was mere 11.2 million— or just two cell phones per 1,000 people. But now it is very common and mobile phones are necessity for many people throughout the world. It is one of the luxurious items. With India adding more than six million cell phone subscribers in a month, the number will be as high as 1.1 billion cell phone till the end of 2011.

Mobiles have even taken the place of the wristwatches. People now find it easier to see the time in their mobile phones. Mobiles phones have also become the personal diaries. Mobile phones also work as an alarm to wake you up in the morning. It keeps you remind about your updated of all your meetings and important events.

Mobile phones are becoming even more useful for communicating data in addition to making voice calls, and they are increasingly being used for sensitive activities such as on-line banking, as well as for searching the Internet and downloading mobile games.

Mobile phones are a portable electronic device. They are now inexpensive, easy to use, and comfortable. They not just for phone calls, they are also operational with almost every latest feature which we want such as calculator, internet, games, camera, videos, alarm clock, notes and many more. Everyday new softwares are being introduced on internet which can hack your mobile. So attackers know many tricks to hack your mobile and they can simply misuse your personal data from your phone. The main threat is from terrorists and kidnappers. Once your phone is hacked, the attacker can interfere in your personal life. It is much possible that attacker keeps an eye on your personal matters. So your life becomes more risky.

To prevent yourself from this crisis you must keep in mind that:

I. If your mobile phone bill is more than your expectation then you should check details and inform police about the calls which you have not made.

II. You should not pass away your phone to any unknown person.

III. Always keep your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off, if not in use. Because if the line is on, it can be the main cause and simple way to hack your mobile. Always Turn off Service message option.
IV. Don’t forget to register your Mobile No. at National Do not Disturb Service. (type “start DND” and send SMS to 1909)

V. In another type of hack, the attacker can hack a phone by sending a type of SMS message called a control message over the GSM network to a victim’s phone that is using a Wi-Fi network and then use special toolkits to sniff the Wi-Fi traffic looking for the victim’s e-mail log-in information. This attack is also explained in YouTube video.

VI. To use internet on mobile is very common these days. You need much more attention to ensure your safety.
