Few important facts on Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)

Integrated Child Development Ser­vices (ICDS) aims are:

(1) To provide nutritious food to children bellow 6 years and mothers, and to improve health.

(2) To reduce mortality rate, mal-nutrition and the number of children who have left school.

(3) To place children under psychological, physical and social development.

(4) To develop children and different departments concerned and their activities related issues should be taken care.

Under ICDS nutritious food, health and education related facilities are provided to chil­dren and pregnant women.

Under ICDS almost 5000 plannings are go­ing on presently, where in 378 lakh people are being benefited.
