After landing from Hong Kong, hardly could I gulp the idea of coming back to India. a gap one can find between these two countries in the matter of economic and infrastructure development but soon there was a latest and greatest news flashing on our television set about our shooting star Abhinav Bindra winning gold medal, initially it did made me feel happy and proud.

No sooner, I started pondering: is the single medal enough in front of the other nations winning and in comparison to the amount of gold and riches looted by them. We have all the rights to bring not only one single medal but many more by our hard and sincere efforts it has become the matter of prestige for us now to get everything we are liable for.

We must introspect the scenario of our country, after six decades of our independence we are yet living in the illusion of independence and highlighting it by singing our national anthem and national songs without doing anything worthy. We yet we have people who sleep without eating a square meal.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

We still find unemployment, lawlessness and corruption from pattawallas to the babus, ignorance in the matter of literacy, vested interest of these politicians and the taxes collected in disguise of progress only to fill up the pockets of the politicians. Here rich are becoming more rich and poor more poor by widening the gap among these two classes.

Imagine, we have tourist from all over the world pouring in and the memories they carry along with them after their tour and the insecurity they feel for the insufficient safety they are provided with.

Common man is not alone to travel to these developed nations but we have every second politicians touring these places yet they haven’t learnt a single thing from them in the interest of the public. No disciplinary actions being taken for any breaches in the laws. Our parliament is full of criminals so how can people of India expect justice?

Now is the time we should give a thought to reconsider the laws that were made long back, constitutions made long ago, Have we gained enough in the system of democracy? It is hypocrisy in disguise of democracy benefiting only those in power leaving alone the poor and needy who has all the rights to live a decent life. It is the time for all of us to act by framing proper guidelines or for instance a whip to be prepared to be lashed on corruptions, in disciplinary acts.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Breach of the laws by the people, and last but not least control measures to be applied on population among illiterate and poorer sect. we do need whole lot of upwardly mobile educated class to be increased for the construction and progress of our country.

We need our educated class to take up the task to teach them the advantage of hygiene, discipline and eradicate the deep rooted thoughts of conservative religious beliefs of inequality with a female child. To ban all gossip corners like paan and cigarette shops, tea stalls so that people will get less time to stand and gossip. We all must stand against injustice happening by the people in power we need fast proceedings and severe punishments for the crimes.

We must also have authority to know about the amount of the tax money utilized in an accurate way and for constructive purpose for the developed infrastructures. We should have qualified post graduate people to sit in the house of parliament. This is only possible when these politicians will stop thinking about their vested interest or about the vote banks. Our government must provide better infrastructure and support to the students to stop them from leave our own country to settle there for the good money they earn within an hour.

All the other nations have gained freedom just a few decades ago and look at the prosperity of their country and we had a six decades time and what have we achieved? In the name of democracy and religion people are making a mockery of our country. To reach up to their level here salary should be based on the number of hours an individual has worked so the productivity or the output is upto the expectation.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

If better opportunities are been given to these educated class then we can think of the bright future of India. Otherwise all our wise and learned will see us off to the far lands and we will remain with poor illiterate youngsters loitering the time with no future ahead.
