In India caste system is very deep rooted and is in fact its important and integral part. In fact it is very difficult to think of our social system without caste system, which exists in every system both directly and indirectly.
The whole system is based on hierarchy, at the top of which stands Brahmins. They are by Hindu society and its division into small groups. In some case these customs reached them by group reaction. A group adopted the customs of a caste or group higher to it and passed that on to the group lower to it.
