The parts of the body involved in the respiratory system are Tongue, Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchi- Lungs, Alveolus etc.

Breathing is the major way in which we constantly exchange Materials with the air around us. During inspiration, air moves into the body through the nose and mouth passes through the trachea and its branches into the alveoli.

It is here that oxygen diffuses into the blood and carbon dioxide diffuses out. The cycle of respiration is completed during expiration, when carbon dioxide and other gases are expelled from the alveoli. The balanced chemical reaction for respiratory system is given below.
