Organisation

The organisation chart exhibits the overall picture of a structure and its organisational details. It is a graphic means of showing the major departments and divisions of the enterprise and the lines of formal authority. The purpose of the chart is to indicate the basic pattern of an organisation structure and to signify the manner in which different parts are coordinated and connected together. To keep the charts simple and easy, the duties and powers of management positions are not shown on the chart, but they are spelled out in clear details through the medium of the organisation manual. Briefly, organisation charts map out the existing fabric of interrelationship among management positions.
