3 Basic Techniques of Co-ordination are given below:
Jay R. Galbraith has suggested three kinds of approach to achieve effective co-ordination:
1. Basic Management techniques:
(i) managerial hierarchy to control subordinate; (ii) plans and goals to give over-all uniform direction to activities; (iii) rules and procedures to guide managers and subordinates.

2. Increasing to-ordination Potential:
Provision of more information common e.g. liaison rules, direction contacts, committees.
3. Reducing the Need for co-ordination:
(i) Provision of resources in men, money and materials, (ii) redesigning of the organisation through creation of self-contained tasks and units.
