Vinayaditya was followed by Nripakama whose rule extended from AD 1022 to AD 1047. This Nripakama had the reputation of having lost a limb in battle though his name itself suggests beauty.

When power passed from Nripakama to his son Vinayaditya II, the latter inherited merely the leadership of hill-dwellers and a tradition of having fought successful battles against neighbouring powers of established fame.
