1. Right intensity:

Lesser the weight of supervision higher the output. So a supervisor must be given optimum work.

The supervisors should take personal interest in the welfare of the workers under them. They must be willing to listen to the personal problems of workers.

3. Consultations:

A good supervisor must consult people under him. He can afford opportunities for free and frank discussion of issues and problems.

4. Loyalty:

He must exhibit his loyalty to his subordinates by safeguarding their interests. He should not offend the dignity of workers below him.

5. Informal assessment:

Informal appraisal of the performance of the subordinates and pointing out their shortcomings with a view to improve.

6. Broader interest:

Supervisors are expected to take interest in management functions like planning, organizing, directing and controlling.
