Dear Sir,

It is with deep concern that I read the news item regarding Chinese dumping of nuclear waste in Tibet.

I believe that the concern of Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan Head of state in genuine and legitimate.

No thinking person, and if he is also deeply connected with sorrows of Tibet as Dalai Lama is, can remain a mute spectator to the Callous act of Chinese Government.

Dumping of nuclear waste in the pristine environs of Tibet will cause immense environment harm.

Not only is there danger of radiation poisoning for the inhabitant of region, there is the contradiction of soil. This soil is completely unfit for farming and growing vegetables. The nuclear waste seeps to underground water and poisons it. The rainwater washes it out into fresh water steams, rivers and lakes thus killing the marine life and making water unfit for the human consumption. Gradually this nuclear waste kills all the life form and turns the verdant region into a stack but extremely poisonous desert.

Sir, it is therefore of utmost importance that all the right thinking for people of the world and all the international agencies connected with dealing with nuclear waste put pressure on Chinese and put an end to such a dumping.

Thanking you
