Short Notes on the Reasons that led to the German invasion of the Soviet Union

Hitler had always held the view that the real war to be waged by him would be against Soviet Union and Communism.

i. He dreamt of settling the Germans with pure Aryan blood in the Asian steppe region and of using the Jews and Asians as slaves.

ii. He wanted to ensure food supplies and living space for Germ Germany and Russia had serious differences over the Balkans, where no clear line of demarcation had been worked out.
