Good health is a possible gift of nature to man and he must give a return gift to nature by preserving and enhancing his health potential in line with various natural situations. Health is the most precious possession of an individual and one must take optimal care of it.

Similarly, health of the school children is the prime concern of society and state. Children are our major resource material, which must be developed to one’s maximum potential. Health is the basic aspect of the development of human resource programme. Health of an individual is an index of health of the society.

The best way to maintain good health is to be on guard against any alarming, unusual changes that one may experience. This entails regular medical checkup at given interval so that one is kept free of disease and/or deformity.

These medical checkups are called medical inspections in which a medically trained person given a close and regular “look-up” to children at a pre- appointed time and place during/before/after the school schedule.
