On 26th January, 1950, our Constitution was introduced and our country became a Democratic Republic.
A special parade is organised in Delhi at Vijay Chowk. All the three armed forces of our country take part in the parade.
The President of India takes the salute of the Republic Day Parade. The country proudly displays her might through the guns tanks, ships and aeroplanes.
Folk dances and folk songs are performed by artists of different states.
