Worship is reverent homage paid to God. We may adopt any form of worship, but our aim is to attain internal peace and happiness and to invoke God’s blessings. Worship produces noble and pious feelings in us.

It elevates and exalts us. Sometimes worship degenerates into mere observance of rituals. Hypocritical behaviour is not real worship, which involves sincerity, devotion and dedication. Of all the forms of worship work is the bob lest. Life is a sacred mission; and if we perform our duties well, we pay our homage to God in the best possible manner. It is sinful to idle away our life, which is a precious gift of God.

An idle man leads a miserable life and time hangs heavy for him. He drifts aimlessly, is unable to do anything worthwhile and can make no progress in any field whatsoever. He is not worthy of anybody’s respect, for he is a parasite of society. On the other hand, a person who keeps himself busy with some good and useful work leads a purposeful life.

He is not only physically healthy and active but he also enjoys mental peace and happiness. He is self-reliant, self- confident and full of noble feelings. He makes a rapid progress in life and achieves prosperity. He contributes to the welfare of society and is respected by all. God showers His blessings on him and helps him in every possible way. It is therefore apt and appropriate to say that work is nothing short of worship.
