Fundamental concept of the Upanishads is ‘Karma’, the law of cause and effect. This doctrine of karma based on the belief that all work, good or bad, must bear fruit. No school of Indian philosophy accepted evil or bad as an ultimate reality. But they could not deny the fact that there is suffering and misery in the human world, which is caused due to bad deeds, Bad deeds are punished and good deeds are rewarded.
