Scientific Laws of Teaching Science

New thoughts get developed as a result of experiences gained either directly or indirectly. When similar kinds of experiences take place for number of times, then we accept them as true and real. Thus such kind of thoughts get confirmed and verified and it is to such thoughts that the term Scientific Facts is being assigned.

Generalised facts get arise as a result of various similar kinds of facts. Through proper experimentation, these generalised facts are again subject to further verification. Thus, it is possible to verify the generalised facts through different means.

On the basis of these experiments, scientists drew a final conclusion, which is technically termed as scientific law in the field of science. It is important to mention here that any kind of scientific fact can be accepted as scientific law only after proper generalisation and valid verification.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Thus, in simple terms it can be said that only a verified generalisation can be considered as scientific law. In reality, similar kinds of facts help in developing generalised facts. It is possible to verify these generalised facts to further verification through various means.

The conclusion which will be obtained through final verification process will be termed as scientific law. Number of times, various scientific facts are not regarded as scientific law as in further verification, they are most found to be improper and faulty. Term of scientific law should be assigned only to such a generalised fact which is found to be proper and correct in all the verifications.

The process in which various generalisations can be verified can be represented through an illustration. To verify the law that through heating the liquid at higher temperature, it gets translated into vapours, one can boil water at higher temperature for a considerable period of time and can analyse the fact that whether it gets translated into vapour or not, a plate or some sheet can be put on it.

Person will find that after sometime, some water drops will get appear on the plate or sheet by which water container was being covered. These water drops are vapours, which cannot get path to spread in the environment.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Thus, through his experiment, person verify the hypothesis, which is found to be correct and this correct or verified hypothesis is being termed as scientific law. In other words it can be said that those hypothesis which can be verified or tested on basis of cause and effect relationships and by proper experimentation can be termed as scientific laws.
