The most criticised and proposed bill to parliament, Lokpal Bill has the following aims:

(1) Lokpal would be a quasi-judicial office. The working Chief Justice of the Supreme Court or the retired Chief Justice of India becomes the chairman of the Lakpal.

(2) Under the chairmanship of the Vice- President, the committee regarding the selection of the members of the Lokpal is established.

(3) The Council of Ministers, the members of the parliament and government officers would be in Lokpal. But the President and Vice- President are kept aside of the Lokpal.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

(4) The complaints against the Prime Minister regarding the issues like National Security and national system has been kept aside for the test from the scope of Lokpal.

(5) If the complaint against the chairman of Lokpal is proved then he may be removed.

If the Lokpal system is established then definitely it would be easier to fight against corruption and it would be easier to have a fair administration in the country.
