Direct and immediate guidance and control of subordinates is performance of their tasks is called supervision. The person who undertakes supervision work is called a supervisor. The responsibilities of a supervisor towards subordinates are:
(a) He will listen complaints, problems and suggestions of the workers and help them in discharging their duties.
(b) He will act as a friend, philosopher and guide of the workers.
(c) He will represent the workers problems before the management.
