As we all know, it’s definitely a good deed to help those in need. A helpful person will be welcomed everywhere.
However, in today’s society, things have changed so tremendously that we have to reconsider the value of this manner.
Some people claim that kind-hearted people can be sometimes taken advantage of when helping strangers, which may get them into trouble, both physically and mentally. We do hear reports saying a traffic accident victim claiming compensation from the helper who was thought as the person guilty.
Helpers are sometimes accused of dong good things for fame or fortune, which causes the heroes to shed blood as well as tears. In this case, some people tend not to offer a helping hand.

In my opinion, the negative effects of helping are somehow exaggerated. There are still many heart-warming scenes to be found in everyday life.
Being Chinese citizens, we should pass on the traditional virtue. Lei Feng and Guo Mingyi set good examples to us, and I will offer my help without hesitation. We should all work hard to build a really harmonious society.
