Notes on Qualifications Required to Become MP
A person should have the following qualification to become a member of Indian Parliament:
(i) He should be a citizen of India.
(ii) To become a member of Lok Sabha, he must have completed the age of 25 years and 30 years to become a member of Rajya Sabha.
(iii) He should not be holding any office of profit under the Government of India or any State Government.
(iv) He should not be insolvent, of an unsound mind or a criminal.
(v) He should have such other qualifications as may be prescribed by any law made by Parliament from time-to-time.
