Red Bone Marrow:-
1. It is a red coloured active haematopoietic tissue in end (epiphysis) of long bones.
2. It produces blood cells.
3. It is active and contains dividing cells.
Yellow Bone Marrow:
1. It is a yellow coloured inactive haemopoietic tissue in shaft of long bones.
2. It produces blood cells during emergency.
3. The cells are inactive and have more of fats.
